The Constitution | Eat

Артур Камароўскі 2024
The Blue of High Zeniths, Untitled Gallery Tbilisi, Тбілісі, Грузія.

The constitution, in material terms, is some legal norms that determine the principal position of an individual in relation to the state power. The constitution, which equalizes all people, is still something that determines the vertical of power. Especially in states where some people are "more righteous", higher than others. Queer people in Belarus, among other vulnerable groups, are deprived of basic rights and freedoms. In a situation when the Belarusian authorities constantly look back to Russia and the laws that are adopted there on this plane, one can only speak about the worsening of the situation in Belarus.

How can we regain our rights? How can we shake up the situation? How can we regain our subjectivity? In this performance, the artist will search for answers to these questions together with the audience by re-reading (rewriting) the Constitution. The Constitution | Eat is about recognizing each individual's "statehood", their rights and freedoms, as well as exploring boundaries and possibilities.
