The artist's painting depicts the Polish-Belarusian border with its architecture and coils of barbed wire - from a worm's-eye, monumentalizing view, from the Belarusian side towards Poland, which is an EU member state. Kanunnikava, before the beggining of Russia's predatory war in Ukraine, lived both in Minsk and Poznań, and she crossed this carefully guarded boarder many times herselfm which has now became a symbol of drastic selection and death of migrants from Africa and Asia who could not cross it. The title of the painting, referencing the famous dialogues between Pawlak and Kargul, quarreling neighbours from the well-known Polish comedy Sami swoi (1967; directed by Sylwester Chęciński), becomes a metaphor for Polish-Belarusian relations.
