From the description of the work at the exhibition "ODKSZTAŁCENIE / DEFORMATION / UNLEARNING":
Since 2020, Raman Tratsiuk has painted multiple images of paired sickles, replicating actual instruments with significant traces of deterioration. The sickle, an adopted communist symbol of popular power, refers to a typical tool of hard, invisible, and unrecognised woman’s work. Put into series, paintings create a visual narrative contingency, questioning the linear history of alienation and exploitation.
