Despite excellent grades in fine arts, he was expelled from school for non-compliance with the rules - he dyed his hair red. Returning to Rechitsa, he received his secondary education at the Rechitsa evening school for working youth and began working in the repair and construction department.

  • During his short life, the painter created more than 400 paintings and graphic works. Many works by Alexander Anatolyevich were in a private collection - the Georgy Mikhailov Gallery and were presented at the Free Russian Contemporary Art Foundation in St. Petersburg. Many of the artist's paintings are also now in private collections of connoisseurs of art in Germany, Israel, Sweden, France, the USA and other countries. Unfortunately, a large part of the paintings was stolen from the artist's widow, Natalya Nikolaevna Isacheva.

From the memoirs of Natalia, the wife of Alexander Isachev:

"... As a girl, I realized that he couldn’t help but write, it was his breath. I still didn’t understand how brilliant or not brilliant it was. I just loved him and knew that a loved one needed to be given oxygen so that he could live. He happy at the easel, and then everything around glows, we have interesting conversations, we have an intellectual, energy exchange, you want to be near him, help, serve, read. My record is 10 hours of continuous reading of The Master and Margarita. There is an external life, eventful. And there is an internal one. So the feeling of life with Isachev is as if three lives have passed. And there is a minimum of events. This happens once in a lifetime. "

From an article by Xenia Trull about Alexander Isachev:

"Sasha was one of the first artists of that time who threw his fantasy into the depths of history. All his images come from there. A mixture of religions, clothes, recognizable and unrecognizable characters ... We all know this, we read it, we saw it, but it was not our day, it was considered the property of museums. Sasha asserted all this in his paintings as a subject for reflection, while the blurring inherent in the imagination disappeared. Against the background of the sluggish exhibition socialist realism of those years, his work made a stunning impression on many people. Opponents also were and remain: academicians believe that having chosen an academic manner, he did not master it; painters have their own claims; some even consider his religiosity to be insufficiently orthodox. So be it, but we will be grateful for what we have: Sasha painted about 500 paintings, he was a modern young man, he was touched by many temptations, he is an artist of urban and book culture, which is not always righteous. The intuition of the artist catches this, often unconsciously ... See What is the meaning of the characters walking around in his paintings? The beauty of these strange symbolic objects, similar to quotes from forgotten works, shells, snakes, jewelry - what kind of beauty is this? The aroma of something destructive is present in many of his works with an alarming background, and there seems to be danger, this cannot be taken away ... But his soul went its own way, Sasha painted several churches (frescoes and canvases) in Belarus, painted icons for the church in Rechitsa, his work is very Father Alipiy from the Pskov-Caves Monastery liked them. Alexander Isachev died in Rechitsa on December 5, 1987, he did not live among us for long, as if he had accomplished everything that was allotted to him! Handsome as an angel - so they said about him ... "
