Born in the village of Derevnaya (Slonimsky district, Grodno region, BSSR, today the Republic of Belarus).
1949
The family moved to Krasnodar, the homeland of the artist's mother, Vera Grigorievna, who fell seriously ill in Belarus, and passed away 6 years later. Mikola found out about the untimely death of his mother in the Crimean sanatorium, where he himself was treated for a long time after a serious injury.
1963–1964
He studied at the Krasnodar Art School under Budko.
1964–1969
He studies at the Krasnodar Art College at the painting and pedagogical department.
1969–1975
He studies at the Belarusian State Theater and Art Institute at the department of easel painting with Natan Voronov, Vladimir Sukhoverkhov, Vyacheslav Tyurin.

He taught at the Belarusian Polytechnic Institute at the Department of Drawing and Painting of the Faculty of Architecture.
