"The title of the work refers to the title of Ilya Kabakov's essay "Not Everyone Will Be Taken Into the Future", and Putin's statement "We, as martyrs, will go to heaven, but they will simply die..."
As you know, paradise is a well-guarded place. The guardian of the place is depicted, such an angel - a commando, standing in front of the gates of paradise. On the gates themselves, reminiscent of the gates to Auschwitz, it is written - Nobody but us. This is the slogan of the airborne troops, the elite of the army.
All this, both the name and the image, makes us think about some elite, mythical place and about the ways and qualities due to which one can get there. You can also talk about some kind of monopoly and privatization, primarily by people of the right to a better afterlife. And finally, the most important part of the history of this picture is the idea that not only will not everyone be taken to heaven, but also you can get there only after death. And in times of war and special operations, it is rarely easy."
