The exhibition «in-between» — is an assimilation of images and objects from the artist's life, manifested in the series of self-portraits. In the human mind, thoughts are chasing each other and get sucked in chaotic memories of people, places and events. We remember the warmth of the friend’s gatherings, the shape of a favorite mug, the smell of the streets we have walked by many times, but we understand that time and memory are unreliable measurements. Each time, we are left with the feeling that the most special stays somewhere «in-between» .

The narrative of the exhibition guides the viewer through the important phases of SIERAFIMUS' creative and personal development. Each self-portrait is accompanied by objects and images that triggered the start of new work cycles. As time goes by, the actors of past cycles become less visible or disappear completely, but new ones always take over. It feels like we are witnessing a big warm gathering of old and new friends. This meeting cannot end as long as the magic of «in-between» remains.
