He studied at the private Vitebsk School of Drawing and Painting by Yudel Pen, while working at the Vitebsk Optical and Mechanical Workshops Zelig.

He continued his studies at the Vitebsk Folk Art School in the workshop of Marc Chagall.
1920
Lev Zevin moved to the workshop of Kazimir Malevich and Vera Ermolaeva, and in 1921 to the so-called "Cezanne workshop" of Robert Falk.
1921
Left for Moscow after R. Falk. He studied with him at the Moscow GSHM - VKHUTEMAS.
July 6, 1941
Zevin went to the front in the ranks of the militia.
1942
Died near Vyazma.
