Bruno Museum

Lubenec & Yushko, Oleg Yushko, Kirill Lubenec 2006
The installation includes: the text "Bruno" (author: Kirill Lubenets); warning tape with the inscription "No entry! Police"; six collages designed to depict different versions of Bruno's state of mind; two shelves containing twenty-six archival cards cataloging Bruno's personal effects/tools; a piece of carpet with a body outline in chalk; a television showing a video recording of a computer game developed and played by the authors; empty bottles of alcohol; printing a piece of wall from a computer game. Dimensions 200 x 600 x 120 cm

The installation is a reconstruction of the figure of Bruno, an imaginary antisocial criminal. The middle layer of the installation consists of a series of images of objects that Bruno might have owned. The top layer, photo collages, is designed to depict different versions of the character's state of mind. This reconstruction is intended to show that a figure rejected by society can have much greater personal freedom than its ordinary members.
