These people are creators from the heart and for the soul. Their works seem naive, sometimes somewhat strange, and at the same time interesting and attractive.

Some of them lived normal, full lives, had jobs, families and children, but as a result of trauma, genetic failure, or infection, they found themselves confined within the confines of their illness. Some couldn’t even finish secondary school, while others don’t know how to read or write... But look at these cheerful colors and clean forms!

The exhibition was supplemented and diversified by the creative works of children with hearing impairments studying at the inclusive art school “Above the Roof”. These little artists see the world in a special way and have high visual intelligence.

I would like to note the common tendency of both artists to use bright colors, contrasting textures and volumes, often invented or transferred from everyday life into a special art environment.

We often forget that very talented and strong people live next to us, who, despite their serious, incurable illness, strive to create in order to live meaningfully, to be needed and interesting. This exhibition is proof that people with mental and physical disabilities are very talented and sociable, they are ready to share their perception of the world with us all.
