Creative workshops "Center for Contemporary Arts"

2011 – 2015
st. Nekrasov, 3

The head of the institution was Mikhail Savitsky, the famous People's Artist of Belarus, and his workshop was also located here. Many exhibits are still preserved - these include copies of his works, photographs, and a creative tool. After his death, both the status and the essence of the institution largely remained the same, only now without the prefix "academic". The gallery was the center where many areas of contemporary art intersect, complex experimental art projects were carried out.

The center carried out active exhibition activity. The main concept of the gallery was somewhat different from the concepts of similar institutions in Minsk. Undoubtedly, the main task of the Center for Contemporary Art in Minsk was to improve the overall level of professional skills of young artists. At the same time, one of the voiced goals was to satisfy the needs of the individual in acquiring knowledge and skills in the field of graphics, painting, and design. Therefore, in a sense, the CCA is not so much an exhibition site as a research and educational organization.
