Born in the village of Ugolshchino, Belynichi district, Mogilev region (BSSR, now the Republic of Belarus).

He graduated from the Republican boarding school for music and fine arts (now the Gymnasium-College of Arts named after Akhremchik).

1980

Graduated from the Belarusian Theater and Art Institute (now the Belarusian State Academy of Arts).

1980-1984

He worked in the creative workshops of the USSR Academy of Arts in Minsk.

1973

He began to take part in art exhibitions .

1984

Became a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR .

1986-2011

He taught at the Belarusian State Academy of Arts.

1995-2005

He took an active part in the creation and work of the public association "Belarusian Academy of Fine Arts" .

2010—2011

He was the head of the "Creative academic workshops of painting, graphics and sculpture."

2011–2013

He held the position of head of the National Center for Contemporary Arts of the Republic of Belarus (NCSRB).

Awarded the academic title of professor in the specialty "Art".

Curator of the first Minsk Triennial of Contemporary Art.
