He studied at the Higher Art and Technical Workshops of A. Arkhipav and M. Kasatkin in Moscow.

He holds the position of head of the Fine Arts Department of the Head of State Council of the Belarusian SSR.

Taught drawing in schools, art studios and circles.

He organized the first post-civil war exhibition, which showcased more than 360 works by 33 artists from various Belarusian cities.

Member of the All-Belarusian Association of Artists, All-Belarusian Society of Bibliophiles.
