The video installation SWEET CORNER, part of the KINDERGARTEN series on the theme of lost childhood, brings together videos produced by the artist over the years exploring various aspects of child exploitation, including investigations into how children are oppressed in the workplace and turned into instruments of death by pseudo-religious terrorism, and into the topic of child brides. However, despite the shocking content of the thirteen individual scenes, which are combined in a single loop, at first glance the overall scene presented to the viewer intentionally suggests the peaceful atmosphere of a play park. The aim is to expose the contradictions of contemporary society, which is often blinded by dazzling technological progress and incapable of recognising its more ancestral limits, which remain deep-rooted and profound.
