He worked in book, easel and abstract graphics, in the portrait genre.

Yuri Gerasimenko's works are in the National Art Museum of Belarus, the Museum of Modern Fine Arts in Minsk, other museums in the country, and in private collections in the USA, France, Germany, and Poland.
