Born in the village of Stoyly, Pruzhany district (BSSR, now the Republic of Belarus).
1980s
I tried to exhibit my works in Pruzhany and Kamenets.
1987
Received the VDNKh Gold Medal and the All-Union Festival of Folk Art laureate medal. After that, fame came to the artist, personal exhibitions began.
1989
Award People's Master of the Republic of Belarus in wooden sculpture.
1994
He built a separate house for his exhibits, calling it the Museum of Uspamina Batskaushchyna.
2002
Laureate of the special award of the President of the Republic of Belarus "For spiritual revival" in the nomination Folk art.
2007
For some time he was the only inhabitant of his native village.
2008
A monographic album "The Peasant Encyclopedia in the Works of Nikolai Tarasyuk" was released, which became the first publication of this kind in Belarus about the work of the Folk Master. And his work received the status of intangible historical and cultural heritage of the Republic of Belarus.
January 2015
He died in his native village from a stroke.
