Historically, moustaches have been present in Belarusian paintings, but in our time they have come to have negative associations, since they are worn by a certain dictator. For me, moustaches carry a very strong emotional charge. This work shows my moustache. It represents the time that has passed since I was forced to leave Belarus. This moustache is everything that has happened to me, my friends and other Belarusians. By shaving them, I show my defeat and admit that I will not return home for a long time.
