PLATFORM

Research platform is a tool for archiving, analyzing and popularizing contemporary Belarusian art. The project was founded primarily as an institution that creates and consistently forms a physical and virtual archive dedicated to Belarusian art of different eras, focusing on current trends in the art of Belarus. Platform KALEKTAR is a research institution, forcedly based in Poland (today the temporary office is located in in Poznań). The platform aims to form a Мuseum of contemporary art in Belarus.

One of the projects of the platform is, established in 2022 aimed at supporting representatives of the Belarusian expert community in the field of contemporary art.

The main tool of the platform is the kalektar.org portal, which consists of JOURNAL and INDEX.

Here is the structure of the portal:

INDEX

is a dynamic encyclopedia of contemporary Belarusian art (a key tool of the archive construction platform). The portal is designed as a single resource with cross links and pop-up information windows.

For convenience, the INDEX is divided into five sections:

NAMES
_{In alphabetical order, information about persons, collectives and institutions is collected here: names, duets, groups, associations and organizations from Belarus, as well as foreign institutions and names that are directly related to the Belarusian context.}

TERMS
_{Terms are presented here in alphabetical order: phenomena, concepts, tags, context by years and geography.}

EVENTS
_{Key events are sorted by years: exposition projects, festivals, educational events and other activities.}

ARTWORKS
_{By years, selected works and series of works created by Belarusians are presented, as well as statements by foreign authors in which there is a context of Belarus.}

DOCUMENTS
_{Various documents are located here over the years: photographs, publications, editions and other materials of interest for the study of Belarusian art.}

MAGAZINE

The platform has developed its own magazine as an additional tool for the analysis and promotion of Belarusian contemporary art. Within the framework of the journal, the efforts and experience of a large number of experts are consolidated for a critical assessment of the Belarusian cultural system, as well as the promotion of the statements of Belarusian authors in the country and abroad.
