Literature:

Strotsev's lyrics combine an impulse to comprehend the metaphysical underside of ordinary things and their ironic estrangement. Strotsev's interest in the poetic epic and the large poetic form, already noted in his early work by the novel in verse "Extra Days", in the early 2000s resulted in work on the poem "The Animal Bearer" (the first two parts were published), based on folklore foundations in the language and prosodic attitude and inheriting Benjamin the Blessed in atheistic motives.

For the collection of poems "850 lines" Dmitry Strotsev was awarded the Russian Prize of the third degree for 2007 (nomination "Poetry").

Author of the books "38: Poems and a play" (1990), "Grapes" (1997), "Extra days: A novel in verse" (1999), "Tse Island" (2002), "Bottles of Light" (2009), "Newspaper (2012). Organizer of the International Poetry Festival "Time and Place" (Minsk 1995, 1996). Head of the literary and publishing project "New Furs", publisher of the almanac and poetry series "Minsk School". Laureate of the Russian Prize (2008), shortlisted for the Andrei Bely Prize (2009), the Moscow Account Prize (2010, 2012), the International Voloshin Prize (2010).

The poems have been translated into Belarusian, Ukrainian, Georgian, Hebrew, Italian, French and Swedish, and are included in the anthologies Ulysses Freed and Russian Poetry 1950-2000.
