The research group Heritageization (Chiara Valli with contributions from Alina Derevyanko and Elina Vidarsson) analyzes the ways in which artistic and activist practices contribute to or challenge the production of cultural heritage. Using theoretical frameworks and case studies from Belarus and Sweden, researchers share their perspectives on the following questions: How can art challenge and challenge established heritage practices? How can art make the present and future more plural, inclusive, and democratic by working with history and the past?
