Early 1970s
Member of the dissident group , which consisted of four Veremyev brothers: Vladimir, Ivan, Grigory and Fedor. The group was headed by Vladimir Veremiev (the eldest of the brothers). The group had its charter and name: PKD - the party of communist action. Ivan Veremiev also called the Vitebsk artists Slepov, Maley and Schastny to the group.
1983
He underwent major surgery but continued to work.
May 7, 1986
Ivan died in the Bryansk region and was buried in the village of Selyanka, Mglinsky district. A year later, his friends installed a tombstone on the grave - A. Slepov's sculpture "Danko", made according to Veremyev's sketches for his painting of the same name.
August 29, 1987
An exhibition dedicated to the memory of Ivan Veremyev has opened in the hall of the Union of Artists in Vitebsk. In addition to the artist's works, works by his friends A. Maley, V. Dundin, V. Schastny, V. Chukin and A. Slepov were presented. The exhibition was perceived as an action of the Kvadrat group.
