This project is a mantra consisting of 150 names of Belarusians, taken by ethnographer Isaac Serbau during an expedition to the southwestern and central regions of Belarus in 1911-1912.
The melodies of these names are very different from those that are widespread among Belarusians today.
These name changes are evidence of the massive Russification and consistent destruction of national culture over the past century, which has led to the formation of a blurred identity.
The sounds from which the forms are built help me to restore the names of forbidden ancestors, as well as to regain my own voice.
