The photobook "Square of Changes" was released. For six months, the author recorded events from the life of his own yard. Civil self-consciousness was being formed before his eyes. He saw how people, despite class, age and profession, united against injustice. His photographs capture the history of unprecedented courtyard solidarity and the consequences of a terrible tragedy - the abduction and death of one of the activists of the Change Square, Roman Bondarenko. The publication will include 70 photojournalistic and portrait photographs, as well as 13 personal stories from direct participants in the events of 2020 in Belarus, covering the period from the birth of courtyard activity to a violent clash.

The author about his practice:
"I shoot the city because it is important to me: what does Minsk live for? What is a modern metropolis? When you enter the city by train, you seem to cut it through and through, and on this cut you can see all its layers, all its diversity. Therefore, I do a lot photographs along the railroad tracks.
"Since there is practically no art market in Belarus, I have no idea how a young author, photographer or artist can survive in this country."
"I went through a severe crisis, choosing between creative and commercial photography. At a certain point, I realized that commerce was eating me up and I had to make a choice: either cut off my creative ambitions, or become an artist, but at the same time I was guaranteed to be poorer. And I became poorer."
"This is a choice that I will not advise anyone to make. Following your heart does not always immediately lead to a cool result. It almost always leads to severe tests. And you either pass this test or break. Here I am going through it now."
