Painter.

Youth coincided with the war years. At the age of twenty he participated in the battles for Sevastopol. Almost at the very beginning of the war, he was captured, was in the concentration camps of Düsseldorf, Buchenwald and Dachau.

He received art education after demobilization from the army.

The works were characterized by journalistic and emotionally expressive disclosure of historical and contemporary topics.

At the age of 50, he was awarded the title of People's Artist of the BSSR.

Lived and worked in Minsk.
