Born in Rava-Russkaya, Lviv region (Ukrainian SSR, today Ukraine).
Member of the Union of Designers (Belarus, Minsk), employee of the Center "Creative Workshops" , Chairman of the Board of the first Union of Photographers of Belarus, curator of exhibition projects, author of a number of technologies in the field of development and printing (partially published in two large chapters of a large encyclopedic reference book: "Photography" ( Minsk, BelEn , 1992. Valery Lobko 's experience and work influenced the creative destiny of a number of well-known contemporary photographers.
In 1990, the Union of Photographers of the BSSR was created (photo club "Minsk" since the 1960s). Valery Lobko was elected Chairman of the Board.
Valery was the author of the regular column "Creative Photography" in the magazine "Mastatstva" . Editor of a number of books on photography, catalog Fotografie aus Minsk . Author of articles and publications about creative photography and Belarusian creative photography in domestic periodicals ( “Mastatstva Belarusi” , “Mastatstva” ), articles about photography (sections “Development” , “Print” , “Additional Image Processing” in the Encyclopedia of Photography .
In recent years, Valery Lobko 's main occupations in photography have been research in the field of productive educational methods, including distance learning, and the creation of studio photography courses for the Belarusian State Academy of Arts and the European Humanities University in Vilnius. Valery Lobko actively lobbied in Belarus for new photographic views and trends, while remaining faithful to the classical tradition.
Being also a great specialist in the field of the history of computer graphics, design, printing and information architecture, and being a pioneer of the Belarusian Internet, Valery Lobko edited the sites: "New Town - Nowy Gorad" , "Ecohome - Ekadom" , "Nature - Priroda" , "Poetry - Paesia . He was the author and moderator of the legendary forum threads “Meeting with a Legend” and “Film Developing Barrels” on the Belarusian photo portal “Znyata” [1].
