The oldest secondary specialized (professional) art educational institution in Belarus, a center for training mid-level specialists in the field of fine, decorative and applied arts and design. On the site you can find complete information about the faculties.

Selected dates:

1918–1919

An art school was established in Vitebsk.

1923

The school was reorganized into the Vitebsk Art College. After some time, the art college was renamed the school.

1941

After the outbreak of the war, the Vitebsk Art School suspended its work.

1947

The school resumed its activities already in Minsk. The new educational institution was opened as the Minsk Art School.

1969

The school was named after A. Glebov.

1992

The school was transformed into the Minsk State Art College named after A. Glebov.

2009

The authorities recognized the post-war building at Khmelnitsky 5 as emergency, a year later it was demolished. In two years, it was planned to build a modern educational building along with a hostel on the vacated place. Students were temporarily placed in the city center, on the street. P. Eyebrows. Construction did not go according to plan, and at some point it stopped altogether. As a result, an object with a partially erected frame turned into a long-term construction.
