Born in the village of Vidzy, Vitebsk Region (BSSR, now the Republic of Belarus).
1967—1972
He studied at the Faculty of Art and Graphics of Vitebsk Pedagogical University (former free art workshops founded by M. Chagall). Teachers - F. Gumen, E. Krasovsky, I. Stolyarov. During his studies, he began to travel a lot, collecting material throughout Russia (the North, the Arctic, Kamchatka), Central Asia, but the main theme of his work was his homeland (Pridvinye, Poozerie) and childhood.
Since 1975
Exhibited in Belarus, Russia, Latvia, Poland, Germany, Great Britain, etc.
1975—2000
He taught art history, composition, and painting at the children's art school in Novopolotsk.
Since 1980
He is a member of the Art Council of the city of Novopolotsk.
Since 1989
Member of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Belarus.
