Born in the village of Nizkaya Street , Mogilev Province (Russian Empire, now a village in the Mogilev Region, Republic of Belarus).

Graduated from the Vitebsk Art College . He began working at the State Opera and Ballet Theater of Belarus.
1953
Graduated from the Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in Leningrad (now the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts named after Ilya Repin).
1953-1957
He studied at the graduate school of the Institute of Art History, Ethnography and Folklore of the Academy of Sciences of the BSSR.
1941-1945
Participated in the Great Patriotic War . He fought on the Western and North-Western fronts, a participant in the defeat of the Nazi troops near Moscow.
1946-1960
He worked as a graphic designer , and then as a production designer at the Belarusian State Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theatre.
1949
He joined the Belarusian Union of Artists .
1960-1964
He was the rector of the Belarusian State Theater and Art Institute (now the Belarusian State Academy of Arts), where he created the departments of art history and theater history.
1965-1967
He supervised the workshop of theatrical artists of the Belarusian State Theater and Art Institute.
1967-1979
He held the position of head of the department of artistic design of fabrics and clothing modeling.
1975
He spent about a month on a creative business trip in India and Nepal .
1994
He became the People's Artist of Belarus .
September 6, 1995
He died in the village of Knyazhitsy, Mogilev region.
